The Crusades: The Crusades were a medieval military expedition, one of a series made by Europeans to recover the Holy Land from the Muslims in the 11th, 12th, and 13th centuries. In other words, The Crusades were military campaigns sanctioned by the Latin Roman Catholic Church during the High Middle Ages and Late Middle Ages.
Christianity: Christianity is the religion that is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. In other words, Christianity is the religion based on the person and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth(Jesus Christ), or its beliefs and practices. One might ask themselves, how did Christianity first begin? Well, a shortened version of the story is that God gave a little boy named Jesus to a women named Mary, Jesus' mother. Jesus was famously born in a manger. When Jesus gradually got older, he began to inspire people and give them hope. Jesus gave the people hope for the future, or just hope in general. Since Jesus inspired so many people the people who were inspired by him started to follow Christ. Then a ruler of the Romans said it was okay to be a follower of Christ. This ruler was none other than the one and only Charlemagne.
